Our very own Chris Pugh was at todays What Culture Pro Wrestling (WCPW) Pro Wrestling World Cup Press Conference from Planet Ice, Milton Keynes.

Here are some notes from the conference…

Eight qualifing events involving talents from England, Scotland, Germany, United States, Canada, Mexico, Japan and the Rest Of The World over the next six months.

Each Qualifiying tournament will advance 2 wrestlers to the four night tournament finals between August 23rd-26th, with the final two nights be held at the Newcastle Sports Centre, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.

The Canada Qualifier will be held in conjuction with canadian promotion SMASH Wrestling at the Phoenix Concert Hall, Toronto, Canada although a date is yet to be announced.

Matt Striker reveals that the eight England Qualifiers are as follows:
– Zack Sabre Jr
– Rampage
– Zack Gibson
– WCPW General Manager, Martin Kirby
– Marty Scurll
– Will Ospreay
– Nick Aldis
– Jimmy Havoc

German Wrestling Federation (GWF) promoter, Achmed Chaer is introduced and reveals that the eight Germany Qualifiers are:
– “Bad Bones” John Klinger
– Crazy Sexy Mike
– Axel Dieter Jr
– Cash Money Erkan
– Juvenile X
– Pascal Splater
– Lucky Kid
– Tarkan Aslan
and will take place at Huxley’s Neve Welt, Berlin, Germany on July 2nd.

Its revealed that the Scotland Qualifier will tale place on Match 23rd at The Motherwell Concert Hall, Motherwell, Scotland and will involve:
– Joe Coffey
– Lewis Girvan
– Joe Hendry
– Drew Galloway
– Mark Coffey
– Kenny Williams
– BT Gunn
– Liam Thomson

Mexico’s Qualifiera will take place in England at the Coventry Skydome on April 30th involving:
– Rey Mysterio
– Caristico
– El Hijo De Dos Caras
– Penta El Zero M
– El Ligero
– Alberto El Patron
– Drago
– Rey Fenix
